This event is a great opportunity to promote tennis in the Hills as well as an opportunity to see the AO trophies. You may even be able to have your photo taken with the trophies! . I have attached a poster with time and place.

Our social night tennis season commenced last Tuesday night. We have lots of new faces and even last season’s players were looking around and enjoying the new vibe created by the new Clubrooms etc. Some sat and watched their team from the Greg Sparrow Shelter, others sat in the new Club house in our cafe-like environment and enjoyed something from the famous Helen Lloyd Canteen.
In fact, the table seating was so cafe like, that I heard a few murmurs calling for the waiter and the wine list…
Also, I won’t name individuals but thanks very much to those handsome, gorgeous and mysterious (and regular) helpers who cleaned up the Clubrooms and did a range of other jobs whilst the last sets were being played.
Thanks also to those equally magnificent people who helped with the BBQ or in the kitchen too and left us nothing to organise or do.
Many headed home after their game and the last of us finally turned out the lights at 12:30am after raiding the confectionary cabinet and drinks fridge.
All in all, a great start to the season.
We’ve also had some complimentary and very kind feedback by email and in person from several of the new playerswho tell us that they have really enjoyed themselves. Fantastic!
PS Thank you to those who have already paid their subs (or opted for PAYG). Subs can be paid to the previously advised bank account or by cheque on the night.
PPS Look out for Club shirts! Nothing better than strolling through Aldgate Village on a sunny day sporting your official Aldgate Tennis Club Polo Shirt! Sizing and material/colour swatches and info are on the notice board. Next week, please consider supporting the Club and buying some shirts. Just write your desired size and quantity of shirts next to your name on the sheet and an embroidery and order run will be done in coming weeks. By the way, I reckon the Club could have charged much more, they are great quality shirts, very smart and at a really super price, only $35. We could easily have charged more. Since they are cheap, maybe buy one each for the family and send another as a present to your friends interstate… 🙂

Just a quick reminder that Junior Training Starts tomorrow. Please see Sally or Gin for more details.
